Where did the Slavic peoples come from? Did they always inhabit their historical homelands, well-documented since the early Middle Ages? Or did they arrive from elsewhere? And if so—when? Where was their original homeland—the true cradle of the Slavs?

And further: should we assume the existence of distinct Slavic nations from the very beginning, or did the Proto-Slavs originally exist as a single, undivided ethnic mass from which separate Slavic peoples later emerged?"
