Boruta often appeared as a jolly nobleman dressed in a long *kontusz*, under which his devilish tail would sneakily curl.
He also wore a noble cap, though it never quite concealed his infernal origins.
Boruta’s story evolved over time — from a forest demon to a Christian devil, known for drinking beer in roadside taverns with his companion Rokita... just for fun.
