Interesting Fact:
Jutrzenka is mainly found in folklore. It is said that the morning dew represents earrings of Jutrzenka, who loses them while racing before the rising sun. Later, each sparkling droplet is collected by the Sun, which is why dew disappears shortly after morning.
The echo of this motif can also be found in much older mythologies, including Indian mythology, where Jutrzenka, known as Uszas (Dawn), appears at sunrise, dressed in light and… scatters her pink robes around. This comparison doesn’t end here, as the naked Uszas showing her breasts relates to a cow exhibiting her udders – and there’s nothing offensive in this comparison. Cows are clouds in the sky at dawn, which the goddess released from confinement, and as the mother of this cosmic cattle, she ascends into the sky in a chariot drawn by bulls.
