Did you know?
Hypnos, the Greek god of sleep, has a mythological shadow that stretches into modernity. His name resonates in the fields of science and medicine: hypnosis, somnambulism, sleep-inducing drugs – all these words originate from his silent, dark kingdom. Before Hypnos made his way into medical textbooks, he wandered the boundaries of reality and dreams, as the son of the night goddess Nyx and twin brother of Thanatos, death. Few gods possess such a symbolic genealogy. From the same mother came sleep and death, rest and end.
