Fun fact:
One of the most drastic examples of wrath leading to massacre is the character of Richard I the Lionheart (1157–1199). During the Third Crusade in 1191, after the capture of Acre, the English king agreed to release 2,700 Muslim prisoners in exchange for ransom and relics. However, Saladin, Richard's opponent, delayed finalizing the agreement. Impatient and furious, the English monarch ordered the execution of all prisoners outside the city walls. All of them. It was one of the bloodiest massacres of the Crusades.
